Dr. Mauricio Murillo, Board-Certified in Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine, is currently the Medical Director of Medical Healthcare Services P.C. Dr. Murillo has ample experience  in providing consultation services to Long Term Care  facilities. He has been an active consultant in this field since the year 2000. Dr. Murillo received his medical degree as physician and surgeon in December of 1991. He completed his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City where he served as Chief Resident, and received several awards including the Outstanding Psychiatry Resident of the year Award. Dr. Murillo did a Psychosomatic Medicine fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and at the same time served as Chief Fellow. He then joined that department as an instructor for two years. He later became  the Director of Supportive Services for the NYU Clinical Cancer Center and was appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry for the NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Murillo also served as Voluntary Faculty for the Department of Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center. He has published multiple chapters and peer-reviewed articles in the areas of psycho-oncology and psychosomatic medicine. Dr. Murillo served as the International Psycho-oncology Society representative for Latin America. He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
